I try to avoid shipping with any of them even if it means my making a long drive. I had UPS drop one of my rifles with a top of the line Fajen stock. The damage was $300. A UPS claims man came to the house and informed me their maximum coverage was $100. for damage. I showed him the door and never shipped UPS again. Truth is the others are just as bad. Best wishes.

The ammo will be going with us in the RV from Minnesota to South Dakota, but I am flying from New Hampshire to Minnesota. The 80 pounds or so of ammo that I shipped is a bit over the 11 pound in-your-luggage-ammo-maximum...
