I took my ten year old out calling this morning.

He's been along on a few but has gone without his first until today! jumping

We had set up just over a hill crest in some light brush. I set him up facing a dirt road, and a little ravine. The wind was coming in to his face gently. I pulled the Lohman from my shirt and started gettin' busy. After the second series of calls I put the call back into my shirt. Just as I did my son wispered "I see one!" and I started turning my head toward him. I wispered for him to be ready. It was only a couple seconds later, I was just starting to squeek my lips to stop him when he fired. He hit him on the run!
His shot was just a bit far back and I urged him forward to finish him. He did, off hand, with a well placed shot. I'm proud of him, in case you need me to state the obvious!

I took one on the first stand of the day. Nate

Big Nate, a picture you will never forget and neither will that young man with that big grin. I really like the fact that the way he is holding his rifle, nowhere near the trigger. You sir have taught him well. Congrats to both of you on a job well done thumb
