Has anyone noticed much accuracy difference in the two bullets? Are the A-max bullets as explosive as the v-max? from at cut away it looks like the a-max might be more explosive. loud pipes save lives

if you are shooting 223 just stick with the 50 grain sxsp. cheaper and just as accurate. i shoot 60 grain sierras in my 22-250, so i don't know about these two out of that rifle. good luck.

I shoot the 50 grain VMax out of my 22.250. If the Amax were more explosive I don't know that they would make it to the targets in one piece, because the Vmax are absolute grenades at 3800 fps. I've shot hundreds of both thru my 22-250 AI and really can't tell a big difference. Maybe a very slight edge to the Amax in accuracy. No visible difference in performance otherwise. I can wind either one up beyond 3900 fps with little trouble.

The Vmax has been working great for me! I haven't tried the Varmint Grenade yet. The SPSX works pretty good too, I may end up changing to this...cheaper and just as accurate so far. I've been shooting it in my 14 Contender and its shooting fine @ 400yds. I tried those loads out of my Bushy Varminter 1-9 twist...they came apart when they exited the barrel! Guess I'll have to work on that! *we band of 45-70ers* USAF AMMO Retired!

SPSX's are intended ONLY for twists from one in 12 and slower... one in 14 or one in 16 are even better... They really had the old 222 Rem in mind when they were made.. max MV of about 3000 fps, and with a one in 14 twist, some even with a one in 16...
