I really like the 39 Sierra BK. They shoot great in my Kimber. Apparently they stabilize in most rifles when 40's may not, I would think 45's would be iffy. Working up the perfect load is part of the fun. Get some of each, and good luck in finding the perfect load. Larry

39gr Sierra's are the best I have tried so far, from feral cats to prairie dogs. I have had three 204's, two with a 1:9 twist. If you avoid the 32gr Bal-tip's in the fast twist, it provides a much more usefull weight range in the 204Ruger.
For the bigger critters like yotes, the 35 and 40 gr bergers and the 45 gr hornady sp are ideal. I have some 38 gr wildcats to test out as well. I believe these will be my ultimate yote bullet for both of my 204's. For the smaller critters, the ballistic tip in hornady, sierra and nosler are great for blow ups and red misting. I have done some testing with the 26 gr varmint grenades and so far at close range have worked very well. Havn't tried them at longer ranges yet. So far the most accurate have been the 39 gr sierra bk's and the 35 gr bergers.
