......Texas that is, with two "a's"!

My calling partner and I took one of our buddies out west to a ranch near Iraan, Texas over the weekend. Sarge has been trying to get his first bobcat for a long time now.

As we passed through the last gate into the yard for the bunkhouse we saw 8 mule deer does. I took this shot of a mulie doe from the bunkhouse Saturday morning.

We also saw more jackrabbits this time out than we have seen in some time.

Friday night we pretty much got rained out, but we had a good night of hunting on Saturday.

Sarge up in the high rack (no cigar when calling).

We came across this guy on the way out. Sarge dispathced him with his pistol.

Me and Sarge with his rattlesnake. He really does not like snakes!!

The first critter we got Sarge on was this porcupine.

Next he got this grey fox after not connecting on the first two we called in earlier.

On the next stand, we called in this grey fox. He had an unfortunate encounter with my Posse .223 AR-15.

SHOOTER took this grey a short time later.

Cool pix! thumb
A 21 pound cat is bigger than we get, at least the ones I see.
Kudos on the hunt!

Jim-They have had some rain out that way this year. We can't buy a drop in south Texas. The closest I have hunted to the Ketchum Mountain area is Big Lake. I have hunted deer and predators in Coke and Tom Green Counties. I called in this 31lb. bobcat at 2:00 P.M. in June just outside Big Lake a few years back.
