Hi all, just purchased this and would like to know what factory ammo you have had success with. I have heard alot of good reports about the Winchester USA brand which I have bought and will try this weekend. How's the How's the Hornady 40gr and 55gr ammo?

my father in law has the same gun. I have seen it shoot the ultramax 50grain ballitic tip reman ammo pretty well. I believe this ammo is made by black hills. I have had good luck with the ultramax and blackhills 52grn smk and winchester white box in my handi rifle. I have found this reman ammo by blackhills to be very good stuff

i like the black hills 60 gr. v-max ammo. its the most accurate factory ammo i have ever used. i am using it in an ar-15 though. most groups are right around .5 in. will be taking 500 rounds to montana next weekend.

Try the Winchester (USA) .223, 45 Grain, Jack Hollo Pt, 3600FPS. I used it in my Howa .223, 24 in, and it shoots real good ( 1/2 in or better at 100 yds.)

What is the magazine capacity of the 77 MKII in .223?

Does it have a spacer in the magazine?

I too, have been thinking of getting one of these and was wondering about the action length, magazine specs, and the general question of whether to go with a .223 or a .22hornet for a sporter weight, walking varminter.

Thanks,
