Well, the BIG black varmint was in the little clover field behind the shop late this afternoon. I was walking from the shed to the shop and saw him laying there, munching on grass, about 75 yards away.

Coat was very nice. What caught my eye was he is gray between the ears. Not rubbed, just lighter colored hair. Is likely 500 now.

Should make lots of hot dogs and polish sausage........ clap

You'll have to forgive me on this one Frank.

There was two choices of things to "shoot" him with and the camera wasn't my first choice.

I'll see if I can get him to "pose" for some close ups next time....... Big Grin

Certainly not Reverand Al or Jesse, but a royal pain in the ass none the less.

His list of transgressions this spring alone includes tipping over the dumpster several times, (not eating anything, just tipping it over!) Cracking my kitchen window trying to get at the bird feeders that were sitting on the kitchen table!! Pushing in the neighbors garage door smashing the jam beyond repair, then eating the dog food that was stored inside the garage.

He's crossed the line....... mgun

At the risk of sounding stupid, I take we're talking black bear?
My suggestion would be the three s's, at least that's what we call it with the "giant coyotes" in Montana. I've lived on wild game all my life but still can't say I've ever tried bear that blew my hair back. Maybe I just never run into anyone that knows how to cook it.

Yes we are talking about a bear with a Mike Tyson attitude.

I had already decided on the 3 s's with one slight modification. Instead of shoot-shovel-shutup, it will be shoot-skin-sizzle. Big Grin

The sizzle you hear is the natural casing hot dogs and polish sausage from a sausage maker, frying on the Weber grill.

Bear steaks marinated in Adolph's meat tenderizer for several hours, and then grilled is the ticket for bear that has been taken care of properly. But the kids and grandchild, like the hot dogs and polish, and it keeps them coming home to visit and steal from the freezer.

Take care.
