Was out last week calling and kid along with us shot what we first thought was a coyote. The thing had a head that was just like a coyote with the same coloration etc. but most of the rest of it looked really weird. The hair was short and very reddish all the way down the animal until half way down the tail. I've seen some mange etc. but never anything like this. The body of the critter wasn't like any coyote I've ever seen before.
We have been doing really well here on our calling and have been getting either coyotes on nearly every set we try but mostly getting foxes and coyotes together. Buddy was out last Friday and got 3 coyotes from one set. It's really a good year for predators.
