Hi Doug,

Thank you for the offer. Actually, I was in Bozeman yesterday. I'll drop you a note the next time I'm going to be there. I'm going to order the 17 cal reloading book from Todd and look at the 17 Mach IV. Sound interesting.

Regards,
Kory

Kory: Yes I would gladly let you wring out both of my 204's! One is a Remington 700 VLS with 8.5x25 Leupold scope on it. The other is a Ruger M-77 V/T with Sightron 6x24 variable scope on it. Both shoot very accurately and have no bedding or crowning or major modifications done to them. They both shoot very well with Berger bullets in my only handload tested so far and also quite well with factory ammo.
Yes - pardon my slow reply as I have been out for many days in the high alpine country and rock slides chasing Mt. Goats with two of my Hunting buddies. The problem was the Goat areas were not the same for each buddy and the VarmintMobile has been in overdrive a lot lately I am coming through Billings about October 5 - 7th? But I may be travelling with my Antelope Hunting buddies and will be at their mercy and pleasure!
If you get to Dillon or anywhere nearby call me - Dale Gibbons at 406-683-6888! I would love to set you up with these rigs!
I have a friend flying in from Germany today the (7th of September) and he will be "using" me for 3 days of Fly Fishing then I will be free until the 5th of October!
Love to hear from you but please call collect for the next 3 days as I will be in and out.
I consider the recoil of the 204 Ruger very mild - somewhat more than my 17 Remingtons but less than a similar weight 223 Remington by a slight amount. I have shot several Varmints with my 204's now and I usually keep sight picture at the shot (70% of the time).
Or if you are needing to avoid as much recoil as possible due to your condition I could try to describe further or figure out a solution - I do have two P.A.S.T. recoil reducers that you are welcome to use. These strap on ones shoulder and very much diminish recoil from my 7mm Remington Magnum.
Yep I am back in town - with Goat stories galore!
Hope we can get together for some shooting. I have a range here in Dillon that allows 300 yard shooting as well as 200 and 100 backstops.
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
