To paraphrase the Sundance Kid: "Use enough gun there, Butch?" Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

Glad to see that I am not the only one using a big bore for varmints. I have been shooting coyotes with it to build 100% confidence with the rifle for my first African hunt. Here is the first coyote I shot with my .458 Lott. I picked off my second one on a call set yesterday (sorry no photo on that one)[URL= ][IMG]

458 using your lott to shoot vermin sounds like a great way to prepare for africa. unless i win the lottery i won't be going to africa but i am content to sneak around north texas shooting jackels(aka coyotes) and leopards(aka bobcats) with my 9.3. if things go as planned i'll use my new 416 rigby on an impala(aka whitetail deer) and a buffalo(aka fereal hog) later this year. blaming guns for crime is like blaming silverware for rosie o'donnell being fat

..........gotta love it. We got a group together earlier this year for a "Big Boars With Big Bores" hunt. You have to break them out once in a while!! Bob There is room for all of God's creatures....right next to the mashed potatoes. http://texaspredatorposse.ipbhost.com/

I love it, and a nice looking Ruger rig to boot. People who cannot get out in the country don't know what they are missing. Dr.C ( Tx panhandle) At Home on the Range-Texas Panhandle
