Clark, you are a very wise man. Maybe I need to put a humane society sign in front of my house along with a fenced in pen for after hours drop off. Should get plenty more cats to "put to sleep".

Guys, you've covered the topic like a blanket. Bottom line, too many folks think all animals are pets. To change that, we have to recruit more hunters.
I hate cats no offence to lovers of them but they are annoying when your neighbor doesnt care what the cat does my chickens and ducks are gone becuse of some aholes cat. Ended up Putting a 30-06 in his ass sick of spending money on people animals that should be controlled cat ended up rotting. Now I have my 300 win mag and if another one decides to strool for food hes gunna get whats coming to him.
There are no exceptions if they are ruining my property I have the right to put a round in one of them would you rather spend your money on a stupid cat or future firearms? Yes I talked to the owner of the cat he said he would try to keep him in more slowly animals started dissappearing seeing feathers and waiting for him one day here he comes. Why the overkill? Ive seen few walk away from high powered pellets in them and live no 9 life crap here, 9 pieces maybe.

I hate to see cats on my property, also anywhere outside it own yard.I just shoot them, use my dog, trap them.I dont have anything personal hate on them, but I simply kill them fast as I can.
Some years back, in Lowell, Michigan a friend and I were approached by some quail hunters that bought land in the area, and wanted to plant quail so there would be enough to open a quail season. They needed the cats eradicated on their land and they gave us permission to pursue any other game we choose to hunt. They bought 300 acres, and Dan and I ridded the area of feral cats while pursuing rabbits, pheasants and other species. When we were done, with that 300 acres that one year, we had a tally of 156 cats. Now that was out in the wild not on someones front porch, and they were out hunting, for whatever they could find and catch. The point, over half, we shot were no where near a house, barn or other dwelling, but wore collars. We also got rid of a few feral dogs, fox and coyotes, and coydogs. That 300 and the surrounding township has had a quail season for 15 yrs now. Nuff said.

If you want a pet animal it belongs indoors, in a fenced in yard, or on a chain. If I find cats or dogs on my land I kill them, while out scouting and hunting I will also kill a cat or dog. In my state and township a leash is required if your animal is not in a fenced in yard. While out yote hunting I kill twice as many cats as I do yotes coming to my calling.
