I have the Outers tilt model, looks and feels just like the Harris, might be just a tad lighter metal, but it works great.

My Outers works fine, not quite as well finished as my Harris, but the damn thing is made in China. Amazing what they can tool up for, considering the market would not seem that big.

Thanks guys. I checked the Outers and that's exactly what I was looking for. I like the Harris bipods and their quality (I have 2 sets), but that $100 price tag for the swivel model is way overpriced in my opinion. I'm surprised they haven't dropped in price since competition entered the market. Their sales have had to take a big hit. So goes the art of business...

The Harris Bipods are made in the USA(Kentucky)

The Outers bipods are only MARKETED by Outers-they are made in China.

The reason why Harris propably will/should never lower their prices is:
1) They have to pay US labor rates-not Chinese slave wages.
2) Harris has a 30year track record of quality-the Outers is a Chinese copy of the real thing.
3)The actual price difference at the average gun shop when identical models(with the same features) are compared is about $20..

The Chinese want ALL our manufacturing jobs, folks. They want yours as well...
Given the choice,I would rather give $20 extra to a few AMERICANS than give a dime to anyone from China.
