Just picked up a .223 barrel for my T/C Encore Rifle. It is to be used strictly as a woodchuck gun. Can any of you, with experience with the cartridge, assist me with a good load for the purpose. The barrel is rifled 1 in 12, so my AR-15 target loads will not stabilize. (69 gr.)
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jay

I use 25grns ( i think!) of BL(C)-2, Federal primers and 55 speer soft points for Roe Deer and Fox. This load will group at around 3/4" in my Ruger with my shooting being the limiting factor. For PD, I would try a similar weight VMAX or Nosler BT and adjust the load accordingly.
