My short action M700 feeds fine providing the shells are exactly right in the magazine. ie, level and at the back of the mag box. The 223AI seems to behave in M700s like any cartridge, most feed great but a few do not. Tolerances I suppose.

Thanks for replies I have a 222 in a 788 and a Tikka....have a take off from a 222 on its way so will make the 788 a switch barrel 222/223AI
