Don't forget AA 2015. Works great for me with a 40gr. NBT. High velosities and not temperature sensitive. If you want to save some dough, try it with a 50 TNT.
I like varget too for the same reasons and I don't think you can beat the v-max for effect.

I use IMR 4198, getting 3600 fps with 40gr.v-Max and 5 shot groups you can cover with a dime at 100 yds. I guess you could say I'm happy!!!

Hey - it's all been said - but like my friend from over the Tasman (Oz that is) Benchmark rules! I really cant' find a powder that does it any better. OK, N133/135 are fine - but fairly expensive down here - as is H4895( although its made in Australia, Its a Hodgdon only burn rate) so I tried Benchmark. I now use it from 55g to 80g in a 1in 8 twist 23in bbl and its superb. Todays results -
26g Benchmark2/60 grain Nosler sold base ( we can still get them in NZ)
3385fps. .33in group at 100 metres. Not bad eh?

PS its a REALLY good powder for .308 with 150 grain hunting bullets or Sierra Palma Match 155g. Burns clean.
