I found a new blue/walnut CZ 527 Varmint for 554.00? It has a 1:9 twist rate. Anyone have any experience with this firearm. Also what bullet weight would be best stabilized by this twist rate in 204 ruger? Thanks Esox357.

Good choice. My 527 Varmint is a .223 but it is 1:12 twist as I believe the .204 is also. You might want to make sure before you start loading. These rifles are more accurate than 95% of people can shoot! IIRC, the 527 in 223 with the plastic stock has a 1-9 twist. The others are 1-12. Mine, Walnut stock American, is 1-12". Don

I used this site to help me work up a load for my cz527 in 204. I found that the 39 gr sierra bk grouped the best for me. http://www.geocities.com/graymist44/Ruger204.html the nice thing about this data is was compiled from actual groups shot from a cz rifle.
