I need some imput on a couple or rifles. I would like to buy a rifle for pdogs and have a couple of 22-250's and a 243 but I was thinking of getting a 223 for pdogs.

I was thinking of the Savage 12VBFSS (the stainless fluted heavy barrel with the new low profile stock) or the Tikka T3 varmit with stainless heavy barrel.

I have owned Tikka's before so I know I like them and I know they shoot fairly well. I own a Savage 110 in 7mm and it is accurate and I like it.

Do any of you guys have a suggestion on which one you would choose?

Truthfully, I don't think there's much accuracy difference between the two in a varmint configuration.
The Savage, at 10lbs., may be a bit heavier. If you get a .22-250Rem. you'd do well to get one with a 24"
tube. Also if you might want to shoot something heavier than the 55gr. bullet be sure to get something
faster than the 1 in 12" or 1 in 14" barrel. Some .22-250's come with a 1 in 9" twist which is much better
for the heavier bullets. Best wishes.
