Working on a load for a carry behind the seat everyday just in case coyote killer.Its a Rem Model 7SS 20 inch .308 with the 3.5-10 Leupold and the factory trigger polished and worked to 2.5 lbs.Should be good for a backup medium range deer rifle too.10 shots avg 2797 fps.

mr big, Nice groups! Just one thing I'm wondering about. How did you arrive at an average of .447 when all the groups are in the 1.4 range? GHD

.490+.415+.485 averages out to .447.

the line in front and behind the numbers are showing the two farthest shots.the orange dot is 1 inch and would cover each group.

Got it! I thought those were 1" spots and the groups were great! I didn't know what that "1" was in front of your numbers! Looks like a bonafide coyote killer for sure!!!! Keep it up!! GHD

My good friend Tom from Seattle has 3 Model 7 Remington Rifles all in caliber 223 Remington. He has one for himself one for his wife and one for his sons and grandsons to use. They are all equipped with the same Tasco ballistic compensater style scopes. They all shoot the same load and they all shoot very very well! He bought the first Rifle and put it together for himself and found a good load for it. He was so happy with the results he got another one for his wife and outfitted it the same as his. The kids and grandkids enjoyed the Rifles so much that he outfitted a third for them and was doubly impressed when this Rifle shot as well as the first two and used the same load to do so! Now once a winter he hammers out a years supply of Varminting ammo and Varmints and fun shoots the rest of the year! I have seen his container for ammo for these three Rifles and it is a 5 gallon bucket!
I hope your Model 7 provides as much fun for you as my friend has had with his three!
