I ended up with some new Varmint guns yesterday. I think I got carried away.

Sauer 3000 in 308 used for $2500

Savage 17 HMR (the bolt action repeater thumbhole laminate in blue).

Remington M7 Predator in 17 Fireball. They didn't have a 204 so I bought this instead. Got a Burris Fullfield 2 4.5-14x40 for it.

And I have bids on a Remington LVSF in 221 Fireball on gunbroker. Hopefully that one will be mine too.

We did some shooting on the 17s yesterday and when I whack the first critter with it I will post some photos.

How hard is it to load the 17 Fireball?

i ended up with the same fireball a couple weeks ago. kinda fun gun. not any harder to load for than anything else, just need a 17 powder funnel. grafs and midway both had brass available. trigger on mine needed a bit of adjustment to bring it down to a livable level. now its set at about 2.5#. (its the screw in back of the trigger) sure does a nice job of killing, cleaning, and eating a crow all with one shot
