jethroI'm shooting one now and love it. It's a heavy mother, so keep this in mind when you are deciding how you will use it.
Some things I learned about my rifle while working up loads for it:
- It doesn't like 55gr Blitzkings. Didn't seem to stablize them quite enough. Not sure if other brands of 55gr bullets will work though, as I only tried the Blitzkings.
- 50gr V-Max shot ok, but still wasn't how I thought a varmint rifle should perform (1-1.5" groups at 100yds.
- The 50 gr Sierra Varminters shot extremely well for me (.4" groups @ 100yds and .7" groups @ 200yds). I haven't shot a groundhog with them yet, so I'm still curious how they will perform. I still want to try the 50gr Blitzkings due to their better ballistics and explosiveness, but haven't had the chance yet.
- H380 worked well for me when I was developing a load, but my groups varied as the temp changed. I didn't like this, so I switched to using a more stable powder (IMR 4895). It shoots great with this powder. You may also try H4895. I've heard it is even more stable.
- My best load to date is 36.0gr of IMR 4895 using the 50gr Sierra Varminters. Haven't put it on a chrony yet, but according to the books, it's supposedly pushing around 3800fps.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.

<Reloader66>With any factory rifle it is the luck of the draw how well it will group. That rifle in 22-250 should produce 1/2" groups at 100 yards. The 22-250 is one fine shooting varmint round and can give very tight groups in a heavy barreled model. I like the stock and balance of the M 70 Stealth rifle. If it shoots as well as it looks you should be very pleased. The only way you will know for sure is buy it and see how she shoots.
My 22-250 is a Savage 12 FV with a 26" heavy barrel 1 in 12" twist rate and groups very well with 60 grain FBHP Sierra bullets using Rel-15 powder. Several powders can give you very good results in the 22-250 round. Varget, Rel-15, Imr- 4895, H-4895, H-380, H-335
