Take a vacation and come on down here to south west GA. We have hundreds of squrils and varmints. Also see if there are any wallnut or pecan farmers in your area. They will most likly let you shoot all you want for free. Ray

Most of the walnut/pecan orchards are flat on the valley floor and there's usually not enough of a backstop to shoot safely. I'll be going out Saturday here in the Kern County foothills on a friend's 1,800 acres. It's greened up after the rains started here and he says the squirrels are out.

Hey Red, You live in the cent. valley!! Just go and ask some of the farmers north of you. I have three just outside of Los Banuos that let me shoot. If you just ask,you will find some.

Hey Fjold: Are the ground squirrels already out down around Bakersfield? I have to make a trip or two down that way this holiday season as my folks moved to the Temecula area. I would sure enjoy the holiday season a lot more by throwing a 223 and a 22/250 in the car on the way down with say 500 plus rounds of ammo and go out and ground squirrel shoot! Thanks for the reply! cheers and good shooting seafire
