What is the best practical distance to zero this caliber?
I am considering having an overbarrel suppressor fitted to a Ruger laminated target and shortening the barrel by around 4" to make it a bit more manageable.
The suppressor will still extend forward of the muzzle.
Will I lose much velocity?
What is the forums opinion of an ideal scope for this caliber shooting small game such as rabbits to 150/200yds?
Thanks

I would say 50-75 yards to get the most out of a rimfire. I would shot a bunch at the extended ranges to see how much hold over is needed. My 22 mag was about an inch high at a 100 and dead on at 50. Your results may vary. A HMR shoots pretty flat out to about 125 or so

Scopes Any quality 4-12 4-16 range would be about right. 4.5x14 Nikon is alot of scope for the money.

Never having used one with a suppressor, or cut back, I'm not sure of the velocity you will be getting. With my Savage, I zero 1" high at 100yds and have a ball with it clear out to 150yds...and a mite further!
