I've never owned one, so can't help directly. If you go over to longrangehunting.com and do a search you can find comments from folks with hands on experience with these rifles.

I would like any opinions, good or bad, that you folks have about H-S Precision barrels and/or the Varmint Pro-Series 2000 rifles. Any help you could give would be appreciated.

I used a 6mmx14 twist HS barrel on my 6PPC Varmint Hunter rifle in 2002 to win the IBS "6X Score Shooter of the Year". I also set 2 IBS records with that barrel. The folks at HS Precision are fine folks to deal with and, they produce a fine product. Their barrels are made using the cut rifling process.
