Went back to feed the birds yesterday late and there was another wild, feral, misguided kitty crat sitting on top of the pen. "What is it with cats and my quail cage?" I asked myself as I tried to settle the crosshairs on the tip of his nose. It was getting dusky dark and that old Bausch and Lomb 24 fixed has a target reticle. It took me a couple of seconds to get it all sorted out and set the trigger on the CZ. By this time he was getting itchy feet. Just as he turned to jump from the cage I tickled the trigger... That 50 grain Sierra Blitz tooling along at about 3K fps from about 125 yards out sure did the trick. It hit him just behind the left ear and all but decaptitated him. 2 for 2.

No pics? Damn. I did the same thing with a 22 LR, but nowhere near as dramatic. "It's like killing roaches - you have to kill 'em all, otherwise what's the use?" Charles Bronson
