I prefer a heavier barrel on my varmint calibers. A 22-250 will heat up a barrel in a few shots. I have an early 1980's Fwt in 308 and love it. 3 shot groups are moa or less

My son just bought one last winter. Stains a little too dark(hides the wood figure), and the feed ramp needs polishing(shaves a little brass), but otherwise a great gun. With probably fewer than 50 rounds through it so far, it will shoot under .3/4" without working up loads specifically for this gun. Makes a great calling rifle!

Have one in 270WSM and .308 plan on getting one in 22-250. The 270WSM and .308 both shoot 1" @ 100yds. The 270WSM with factory 130GR Win Ballistic Silvertips, the .308 with reloads.

I've had 3 of them-2 of the 3 would do sub MOA. The other was a bit of a challenge. My biggest problem with them, or perhaps with myself is a better way to put it is such. I personally like a bit more tube weight on them-I'd prefer them to mike at about .65 at the muzzle, and be cut to about 23". That is what I prefer on most of my rifles-.65-.7" at the muzzle. This makes me quite a bit better shooter in the field. I think my technique is good from the bench but in the field I need a bit more forgiveness that a heavier tube would give me (makes me a bit steadier). Make sense? I do feel it is one neat lil rifle though--just too light in the tube for me and my style. Make it your best day "GET TO THE HILL" Dogz
