I have NOTHING to do with this Rifle but it has piqued my interest and I thought I would pass it along for you all's perusal!
The Rifle is a Limited Edition (1 of 500) Remington 700 VS (Varmint Special) all blued steel Rifle with 26" heavy barrel and its in caliber 17 Remington!
I have a very similar Limited Edition Remington 700. It is an all stainless Varmint Rifle in caliber 17 Remington.
I love this Rifle!
Anyway I am enclosing a link to the Auction Arms site where someone is offering it for bids - the bidding closes in just over 24 hours.
Neat and rare Rifle anyway - I wish Remington would offer it as a catalogued item!

Link: http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemn...d%20%20LOWER%20PRICE

Hope that works - I will test it and try again if it doesn't.

You have more guns than VG you better get into a 12 step program quickly.

VG has Varmint Wife taken you to one of those 12 step meetings yet?

Jay Johnson: The VarmintWife has long since given up on trying to "cure" my affliction for Rifles!
She put up a good fight for many years (20?) but these last 10 - 12 years she just rolls here eyes when I bring home a new Rifle.
She asked me what I wanted for our 30th wedding anniversary here this past September and I replied (like I always do!) a new Rifle, please!
She rolled her eyes and said "I thought so - you pick it out"!
Back to the nifty little Remington 700 in 17 Remington.
I would be a player for it but I am dealing on a Rifle from Doc Mitchell's collection and need all my spare cash (mad money) in case that one becomes available!

My wife is at the same level of training as Varmint Wife LOL.

Howdy all,

you too can be like Varmint guy! I'm selling my 700 VSS in .17 rem. it's wearing a varix3 6.5x 20 leupold in burris signature rings. Like new, send me a pm with an offer over 1000.00 USD if you're interested. I've been trying to sell it on other sites for $1150 to no avail. I'll put it in the classified sections here after offering it on this forum.
