I am looking at purchasing a new electronic call. I have been looking at the FoxPro and the Johny Stewart call's and was wondering what you predator hunter's think is the better of the two. I know the FoxPro is about 3 time's the price than the Johny Stewart but is it worth it, your info would be appreciated. Thank's: Rick.

Of the two, the FOXPRO. It has a lot more flexibility. Check out the new Scorpion.

I have used the FOXPRO's, Johnny Stewart, Minaska, Wildlife Tech, Burnham Brothers, Loudmouth, and Western Rivers in the field. I keep sticking with FOXPRO.

If you have about $50, this 4 disc DVD will really make your eyes pop out. Fox-Pro with that Jack in the Box decoy looks like the only way to go.......you see how the guys did it, watched the caller in action, coyotes came, mission accomplished.........r in s.

I just recently learned that FoxPro has a few Factory Refurbished Callers at a pretty good price. I recently ordered a Factory Refurbished FoxPro Model 416 (16 sound non remote caller with the 16 sounds of my choice) for $155.00 shipped. They also had some 8 sound callers for as low as $85.00. These factory refurbished callers carry a 1 year factory warranty.

With a little luck mine will arrive tomorrow and if so I hope to try it out this weekend.

I like the fact that Foxpro will let you send in your lower versions of their system to upgrade with just the price difference.

I am going to do that when I have time inbetween having fun with my FX3 to get the FX5

I've owned a few different callers over the years, ranging from Johnny Stewart's tape caller, to the Western Rivers Predation mp3 caller, and finally to the FoxPro FX5.

The FoxPro wins without question. Yeah, it's expensive, but it's a heck of a caller. The TX200 remote control is a joy to use, and the caller seems to be well made and sounds great.

I bought my FX5 largely because the battery in my Predation caller died, and Western Rivers wanted $80 for a new battery pack. The FoxPro uses standard NiMH AA batteries, so I'll never have to worry about finding a replacement when they wear out.

Expensive or not, it's a great piece of equipment.

How loud is the Foxpro compared to your old Western Rivers caller? My WR caller doesn't seem that loud. I was just wondering.

Much louder; I can get at least twice the volume out of the FoxPro, and probably more. The FX5 also has two speakers which you can selectively turn on or off.

My Predation caller did seem pretty quiet to me too.

I too have had a Johnny Stewart Tape Caller, Western Rivers Predation, Extreme Dimensions Phantom, and several different Home Made E-Callers using everything from Cassette Tape Players, to portable CD Players to MP3 Players.

Well my FoxPro 416 arrived on Friday and I did get a chance to try it out Sunday. All I can say is WOW. The sounds are great, and crystal clear. The volume, well I think this thing can make your ears bleed.

All I can say is I wish I would have bought a FoxPro many years ago when I first decided I wanted one. I'd have been $$$ ahead buy now.
