looks like long range fun - reminds me that for a few years i used to use an old 40x in 300 mag for PD's out to about 1200 yds or so. only problems were that there was only a short time in the morning to shoot before the mirage set in and we would have trouble seeing the dogs that far away, and the recoil and especially the concussion really got to me after a few dozen rounds

I was wondering how in the heck he was getting 4200 from the 110s. In my 300 WinMag which is very similar to his, I have to back them off to 3800 or below, or else they come apart.

I happened to look in the pics on Bartleins site and found the twist on his barrel. 1-15. That explains it.
