55 grain Hornady SPWC (Spire Point With Cannalure). It's a real accurate bullet in a number of rifles I've shot it in, shoots like crazy in my Bushmaster Predator and that last batch I bought in bulk hit my porch at under $8.00 and change a hundred. No downside I'm aware of. MidSouth is where I got mine. "If a man buys a rifle at a gun show and his wife doesn't know it"...Did he really buy a rifle? Firearm Philosophy 101. montdoug

Yup, go to Midsouth and type in Nightmare. It will bring up their "Varmint Nightmare" bullets. They are really Hornady, I believe. $40/500 plus shipping. Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson

Just to expand the discussion... I have never understood why Grafs and Sons are so neglected. About the same prices and they pay shipping, last I knew, from MO. And wideners.com. Used to put out a very amusing catalogue but Inets seems to have killed that. You want surplus or large quantities... or ??? Big operation. Luck.

I use Graf and Sons all the time (only thing about them that irritates me is if you're gonna say shipping's included in the price, don't go tacking on another $8.99 or whatever handling fee, bad form). Them and MidSouth are my two main spots to shop though. Lock Stock and Barrel was also on the list and it was sad to see em fold. Wideners as well but as time passed the shipping from where their at to where I live got pretty stout. Right now those 55 grain SPWC Hornady's I like are cheaper at MidSouth than anywhere. Seafire, I am about to try AR Comp in my 22/250, and if it does as well as it does in 223 I think we have a winner! Steve

you should love the results.. my rifles sure love it... also the data is conservative by quite a bit...even tho it is a tad slower than RL 15, RL 15 is so conservative compared to older data, you are more than safe using it... at least in my rifles.. as always tho, work up...

OLBIKER Ever thought of going cast bullets! I've been shooting the Lyman 55gr GC #225646 out of mine. With a load of IMR4895 18.7 gr it fully fuctions and is accurate. Cheap as well! One shot One Kill

You can also call Hornady and Nosler (I believe Sierra also does this) and order bulk bullets (2500 or 5000). They ship them to your door poly bagged in a plain box for less money. I know they were available from Hornady as of last year. They are not cataloged and you have to call customer service to see what is available. I know some shooters who order a couple times a year for thier 22-250's and .223's. Nosler (and Sierra) also sell seconds, but it is hard to get Noslers because the locals buy them up. Get a couple of friends together and split the shipping. That's what they do.
