People are having good luck with the 85gr TSX doing double duty as a fur friendly Coyote and effective Mule Deer round here in Oregon. I'll be working up a 243 w/ 85gr TSX load this coming Friday.

Does anyone have any experience with the 243 85gr TSX and Coyote hunting?

I'll be using H4350 in a Ruger M77 Mk2 Stainless if there are any load pointers.

In this case, "fur friendly" means that the bullet doesn't expand, or expands minimally, leaving a very small exit hole.

"Fur friendly" and "good for deer" are mutually exclusive. I haven't used the TSX so I can't say which, but it either expands or it doesn't. You can't have it both ways. You can either have a good coyote bullet, or you can shoot a deer with it and expect to track the deer several hundred yards. Take your choice.

If you are talking about the Barnes Tripple Shock I have used the 130gr in my 300Win Mag. They go all the way through a deer and leave a large exit hole.

Good Luck
