I am told by some thast when I switch to moly bullets I must increase the powder over what I've been using with non-moly bullets? Is this true? Can anyone give me some of their per loads - I'm shooting Nosler BT's 40 and 55 gr with W 748: 25 gr for the %%'s and 27gr for the 40's. help.

tommydonnellyThanks Johnch. I don't have a crono - can you tell me where you found the best LZ for the 40 and 55 gr combined tech (nosler BT's with moly)?

Tom

MuleriderIn a case the size of a 223, it does not not take much of a bump to make up for the moly bullets. Try 0.5-0.7gr more, and you should be safe.
Cheap chrony's ($60-80) are a worthy investment!

johnchWinchester CT do not have Moly on them it is Lubalox® exterior coating.
I know it reduces pressure but I do not know if it is more or less than Moly.
