I traded in a 22-250 Ruger for a 22-250 XR-100. I would have got a 223, but the gun shop didn't have one. If I like this XR I'm going back and trading my other 223 Ruger. Will some of you XR-100 guys give me some loads that shoot well in your 250's. Thanks, BA Arkansas football will rise again!

My XR-100 is in .223 but the traditional load of 38grs of H380 and any good 52-55gr bullet ain't a bad place to start for your 22-250. That's what I do with my 22-250's. I don't think that's top end as I have a VS and I think my final load is above that (my notes are out in the shop).

With any 22-250 a good place to start is with 52 gr.match bullet and 4895.

Bill, I have the XR-100 in the .22-250. Have not loaded for it, but ready to start. Last year I ran some polls get the a consenus of bullet weights, type, and powders used by the members. A wealth of information and some loads, Check the .22=250 polls and you should find the info to get you going in the right direction.

I shot my 250 today and I am very pleased, while I was doing my version of the shoot and clean routine I was getting some nice groups. Then after 20 shots, I shot a five shot group that was one bug hole. These were loads that I had for my Ruger and it looks like they may shoot real well in this Rem. These loads are 52gr SBHP, 35.5 VVN550, Fed. CCI BR primers, Rem brass. I already have 100 rds. loaded with 52gr Bergers and Norma brass. I ran out of time today and it was getting windy, I hope its not too windy tomorrow. Thanks for the replys, BA Arkansas football will rise again!
