I am wondering if there isn't something better out there. I am not talking about the shooting bench, trailer, table or what have you, but the actual gun rest itself. I have been using a Sinclair as shown below for quite a few years with rabbit ears. The problem is changing range (elevation) and shooting down hill. This thing requires you to move the big dial to change elevation(very slow) and these rests seem to have been designed for shooting uphill or more likely from a bench on the level. Seems most varmint shooting I been doing is usually at a small or large down hill angle. I wish there was one with a side lever ratchet that you could click to a position and then let go. Much faster and with a large say 6" to 8" travel. Newer rests by Sinclair and others seem to exacerbate the problem. Anybody have any ideas? [ 11-19-2003, 07:21: Message edited by: DMCI* ] | ||
