I am wondering what kind of lights everyone is using. I have been looking at some of the scope mounted lights. I would like to hear everyones oppinions.

Thanks,

Chris

IMHO the Lightforce 170 or 140 are the way to go.
Adjustable beam, elevation and when the lens gets too scratched you can just buy a new one.
Plus there is a selection of filters available, even an infrared one !!

+1 for LightForce 170. A bit light weight and fragile, but probably the best out there?

Yup, Lightforce. Ain't cheap, but you won't regret it. Customer service is also well known as being good. It throws a very good tight focused beam with a larger "halo" or wider beam. Use the wider to catch the eye reflections, the tight beam once you are ready to ID and shoot. The other thing is the beam color - it's dark red, not pink. Everyone has their opinion about white light and red light, but this is a good strong red light. Just don't get thrown off by the candlepower ratings, because the Lightforce is not a zillion candlepower light. Because of the bulb and reflector it will allow you to easily ID (not just see eye reflections) animals a long way, even longer if you are looking through your scope.

Try Bob's link above and Predatormasters in the Night Calling section to some good detailed info and advice.

Let us know how you make out.
