I need some info for some p-dog loads for a 243 with 60 gr sierra hp. I have a nosler and sierra book and neither of them list a 60 grain projectile. Nosler lists for a 55bt. That is where I will probably start. The gun is a custom built sportster on a mauser 98 action with a 22" tube. It was given to me by my father-in-law. He thought that it was shot out. I cleaned it up and checked it with a bore scope. It is in fairy decent shape, It was just really fouled. I am looking for powders and starting charges. Thanks. My father-in-law had someone reload for him years ago and thinks that they used IMR4350. But from what I can find, it looks like That is to slow for a light bullet. Help?

I load 48gr of H414 with that bullet. Gives me great accuracy. [ 03-28-2003, 16:03: Message edited by: Willie B ]

I highly recommend that you give IMR 3031 a try. My Rem 700 VLS shoots Hornady 58 Vmax with 39.5 grains of 3031 in the .40's and .50's (5-shot groups) with this combo. The bullets shoot best when seated 2.600 OAL. Paint [ 03-28-2003, 20:52: Message edited by: Paintcan1 ]
