When to not shoot coyotes?

We're not supposed to shoot coyotes when the bitch has pups, but, when is that generally and how long do you hold off before starting up with the coyote hunting again. I shoot plenty of p-dogs, but they have all gone to ground now and a shooting buddy wants to do some more shooting with his rifle. I have one of those Lohman electronic callers and as you can tell from this post, have absolutely no experience hunting coyotes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ... Tom Purdom

I'm sure many will say to shoot them whenever you see them, but I believe the pups are born in April and May, usually. They are probably weaned, like dogs, about 6 to 8 weeks old. I'm not sure when they might become self-sufficient enough to survive on their own.
