Went looking for elk and deer over on Afognak last weekend. The Shelikof was about as flat as it gets.

Spotted 3 bears, this one was a rather big one. I drew this area for next spring so I hope to run into him then.

The few deer we spotted were up high and none of them had horns. Came around a point and spotted a black fox on the beach. Figured I'd take him. We didn't go another half mile down and spotted another black so my buddy shot him. No elk or deer, but threw some decoys out and had a good shoot in the evening then again in the morning, ended up with 14 ducks mostly harlequin and goldeneye. Also went home with a couple nice pelts.

Soak them in water for 4 days changing the water everyday. Then marinate them in terryaki for a day, drink a bunch of beer until you get the munchies, then grill them and chow down... beer
