Went out by myself on a gorgeous day to take one more look at our honeyhole farm. Got 5 more, including an instant kill on a big chuck at 500 yds. with my 22-250. On the way home I checked out our neighbor's alfalfa field and caught one barely peeking out of it's hole. Sneaked up behind a utility pole and poked him with my .223 at 130 yds. It was another MONSTER that I lugged home to weigh at 14#. Looks like about the end of the season for me, unless GHD and I can put together another safari.

TOMMOROW!! Got to head to Bluefield to deliver some stuff. Will pick you up and we'll traverse yon roads to varmint shooting heaven(as far as VA goes). The field "across from the house" is mowed and baled! You should be able to get to "250" there as well as me crossing the century mark.............one word of ruling.......the 22-250's, 6mm,s are not needed there unless them big muthas in the right hand corner show up!! 17's and little 224's will handle it! The Grand and Glorious 204 is even staying home!! But I hear the "Lassie Field" is also baled so go ahead and load up the 6mm!! Mine is already in the truck!! John asked me tonight if you and I had anything to get to the MILE level!! He's got some other place figured out for us to try!! Big Grin Cool Big Grin Wink Big Grin GHD
