Loaded this up in my 22/250 Ruger and enjoyed excellent accuracy results from it.

Anyone had any experience on this round for prairie dogs?

Velocity is about 3650 with this load. 30 grains of RL 7.

thanks for the comebacks!

cheers and good shooting

Kinda but not really. (if that makes sense) I used to use the cheapest bulk bullets I could find. Which worked fine. However, I started to shoot some factory varmint matches so I switched over to 53gr SMK's. That's a HP bullet also. I'd buy them by the K's and use them on everything. For powder, I use a standard load of H380.
Actually, I haven't found any powder that won't work pretty darn good in a 22-250.

I shot loads of Western MD and WVA woodchucks with the 55 BTHP back when I lived in the Occupied Territories. From a .223 Savage, I pushed them to 3050 and never had one crawl off (one that I HIT, I should clarify..)
