Well, this one was not called in. I saw something out in the field a few hundreds yards out. Binocs confirmed it was a coyote laying down and eating something.

So I tried to sneak a bit closer. I ran out of cover at around 225 yards and took a rest against a fence post.

The 130 grain AB was wicked. It impacted the lower third of the chest and exited, leaving lots of damage in its wake. Also, with the coyote laying down (she was eating hog ribs!), the opposite-side upper leg was in the path of the exiting bullet and got ripeed up pretty good. So I apologize for any blood remaining in the photo.

. Great shooting BT ..... Thanks for the description of the results of the 130 gr 6.5 Accubond ... I was hopeing they would be tough enough to slip thru a coyote and not tear stuff up ......

Great pic also thumb

Yep, those tree-climbing 'yotes are tough because they hide behind limbs!!! Big Grin

That live oak is actually in our front yard. It has been the backdrop for many of my photos.
