I will be in Cheyenne after Christmas visitng family and was thinking of trying to call in some Yotes.
From what I gather from the Game & Fish website is that you don't need a license to hunt predators. Is that so for none residents as well?
Also I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for places to hunt. From what I understand from G&F website the only WIA (Walk-in area)on the Laramie County map #1 for predators was #26. Then under HMA (Wildlife Hunting Managment Area)I found Laramine Peak, Forbes/Sheep Mtn., Morgan Creek, Red Rim-Daley,Red Rim-Grizzly, Sullivan and Wick/Beumee that looked like possibilities. Is anyone familiar with any of theses places. Any information would be appreciated including the weather, terrain, road conditions (do I need to drive my truck or will wifes subaru do).
Thanks.

A-TEAM,
The coyote calling has been exceptionally poor around here this year. I've been out multiple times since late September and only killed two. Most of the time I've seen and called coyotes who would look my way and then wander off. I've slipped into areas and called quietly, only to see 4 heads pop out of the brush where they were sleeping. NONE of then responded to calls or the sight of my Airedale wandering around in their area. Pretty disappointing.
I moved to Cheyenne in June from an hour north of here and haven't developed a lot of contacts. The winter has been warm and they haven't been responsive at all. I've been calling coyotes since 1972 and have been baffled by the responses I've been getting this fall. All my buddies report the same level of response to calling. See 4-5 coyotes while out, none respond to a call.... Good luck.
