Haven't posted here in awhile....just came back from my second dog hunt in the Rosebud SD area. Both times the hunting has been great and have finally learn how to hunt them correctly.....ie: tatics. The problem we've been having is the lodging! First year food was spotty and this year bath room and shower facilites were 100 yds from the cabin! Are there any higher end places to hunt??? Its not that money is no object.....but the lodging should at least match the hunting experience. Buying breaskfast/lunch/dinner at a convient store or stitting at a picnic table in someone's house eating with stangers is not quite the experience i want.

Thanks Arrccod

O.K. city boy... I like sleeping on the truck seat and going back to shooting at crack of dawn... Leave when the ammo runs out, well maybe when the water runs out...poor planning.

BUT: if you google "prairie dog shooting/hunting" you will come up with no end of options. Many, many big game outfits will set a hunter up in a p'dog town after he/she fills tag and until ammo runs out.

Obviously most "big game outfits" are going to be a bit west of the Rosebud. Little civilized in that area. Lakotamall.com has an ad by Mr. Christiansen. And you can gamble at the casino too... Pine Ridge. Ron Scherbarth, Rocking Heart Ranch, has better accomodations. [Disclaimer, his grandfather and mine were war buddies, WW I, yes I.] From there, just keep checking the ads by big game guides in the grasslands... Pick what is in your price range and follow up. Luck. Enjoy. Wish I was going along.
