I just returned from a day long trip to Idaho Falls, Idaho. Among other things I "discovered" today, I think I owe an apolgy to the folks at Berger Bullets.
I love Berger Bullets and have used them for many, many years!
But they were hard and at times impossible to keep on hand or to find when needed to fill my components locker. I was always running out of them and spending money driving around and calling around trying to find them when I need them!
For some time I gave up and quit using them choosing to go with less accurate but more available bullets for my needs.
When I got my trio of 204 Ruger Rifles I saw that Bergers were available in 20 caliber and I began handloading with them.
They shot VERY well and were lethal on Varmints.
I used the 35 gr. Bergers to complete satisfaction with all three of my 204's.
Then I got to worrying about them "being available" for my full time needs.
Every Gunstore I frequented began handling the Sierra 20 caliber offerings and I decided to "jump ship"! I checked my Rifles and all of them shot the 32 gr. Sierra BlitzKings real well.
I decided this summer that I would buy the "every where available" Sierras and forsake the Bergers.
Today in Idaho Falls I did a bunch of gunny places and found the Bergers readily available there - its 145 miles each way but in SW Montana NOTHING is close!
I bought a bunch of Berger 20 caliber bullets AND they were the same price at one store as the Sierra BlitzKings!
And I bought 3 boxes of Berger 224 bullets in 52 grain "Varmint" configuration. I have two Rifles that LOVE these bullets!
So my purchases today were in a kind of "make up for" vein as well as filling my needs.
In a recent post here about something or other, I mentioned that I had given up on Bergers and gone to something else. So when I saw todays good selection of all manner of Berger Bullets I thought I had better publicly correct myself so others wouldn't be led astray by my previous post.
Thanks Berger for getting your fine bullets out there and more available to us!
And sorry for any harm previously done.

I am beginning my winter "loading"!
Saw 2 Coyotes on my trip yesterday! No Rifle along (security concerns while shopping all over Twin Falls!).
We also saw lots of Antelope, Mule Deer, Elk, Whitetails, Ducks, Geese and a couple Pheasants.
And when I say we saw them I should relay my partner slept 95% of the way down and back!
He is down to 2 casts on his body, only, now as he was involved in a one vehicle (ATV!) roll over accident while he was Hunting the Powder River country for Mule Deer back in mid November.
His list of injuries (from the top down!) included a concussion, bleeding on his brain, a crushed eye socket, broken nose, broken tooth, 3 broken ribs, broken wrist, broken thumb, lacerated (bleeding!) liver, torn leg ligament and an ankle injury!
My friend would moan now and then - that was the extent of his "travel companion" conversation! We did get our Christmas shopping done though. In the mall there in Idaho Falls I bought him a "massaging chair" massage!
There were tears of relief in his eyes as the chair helped his muscles relax all around aching body and rib cage!
Well I guess I have one more thing to be thankful for this Christmas - I made it through the Big Game season with no major injuries, aches or pains. My foot blisters have all healed up as well!
Which reminds me, let me take this opportunity to wish you Seafire/B17G and ALL the AR Forum members and their loved ones a merry Christmas and a happy and properous New Year!
Peace on earth seems almost to much to even dream of these days - but I force myself to envision 5 billion people not thinking about or trying to kill each other - for a couple months of this year!

Gas (diesel!) is still real spendy around here (U.S.A.!) and I better start doing more shopping "on-line" to save those gallons and miles!

I just logged onto the Graf's site, as I use them much more than Midway...the search for Bergers on their sight turned up Zero!

Seafire/B17G: I logged on earlier this eve and I compared the prices of the Berger bullets to prices I have paid elsewhere.
I compared Grafs prices on 17 caliber Bergers, 20 caliber Bergers and 22 caliber Bergers.
Check again - as will I.
Yeah they are still there.
Go to "metallic reloading" then to rifle bullets - via click, click, clicking.

VG, I couldn't find any Berger bullets on www.cheaperthandirt.com but I've used the site before and they have a lot of reloading supplies.
