I just won the bid on a Sako 222 Rem Mag (Sheriffs auction) I've only seen photos but it appeared in excellant condition. Figured I couldn't go too wrong at just over 500. Hopefully this will make a nice little prarrie dog gun. Will pick it up tomorrow.

You gonna need about 500 cases for it?
I can make you a good deal on a box of mixed brass. Some first loaded and not fired, some fired and reloaded more than you'll believe and some .223's fire formed that work just as well.

I bought one just like it new back in 72. Barrel lasted some over 6000 rounds of reloads. only factory it ever fired was the first 100 Rem.

My only loads those days were: 55gr 25gr 4895.

Where in Tex??

georgeld@hotmail.com if you're interested.

The price was right, you got a good deal. Should have a 12, or 14" twist, but, check it out. Stock might be a little short at 12 1/2" LOP, mine was. Depends on how long your arms are mostly. You'll love the gun. Sako Vixen L461, right??

Enjoy as fine a rifle as ever made in my opinion.

Take it slow when burning up ammo, let it have a breather now and then to cool down and it should last a good long time. I always took a break when the barrel gets too hot for my bare hands.

Thanks on the brass but I already ordered 500 new cases. Looking forward to busting some dogs with this one. It's going to fill a space between my 22.250 & 6MM-06.
