Hey Ruger #1, I'm in the process of moving to KY and will only be about an 1 to 1.5 hours from you. Most of the old farms I hunted in my youth (48 years ago) seem to be all clutttered up with HUGE expensive houses now. So, I'll have to search out new places too.

Best of luck to you.

Hot Core,
Its about time you came back home. We chatted some time back about the error of your youth in attending WKU. (joking) what part of the bluegrass will you be calling home?

Any one a member at the Bluegrass Sportsmen's League? Nice club for shooting. Just wish they had a longer range than 300 yds.

I'm down in Williamsburg that is almost on the TN border. I haven't had a chance to do any hunting yet, but I have been doing most of my shooting at a public range by Laurel Lake. Might take you 45 minutes to get there, but if you make a day of the shooting, hiking, lake/beach, its nice.

Let me know if you need directions! I haven't decided if I am going to stay in this area yet, if I do I'm really going to have to find a place to hunt around here!

Hey 7mm/08, It looks like I'll be in the LaGrange portion of Oldham Co. for the foreseeable future. Sure has changed since I last lived there.

So, if you know anyone close to that area who needs their Deer or Varmints "thinned" keep me in mind. HA

Looks like the Hilltoppers will be going to the big dance this year.

Lots of folks upset about the Marvin Stone fiasco at UL. I happen to know an 81 year old Lady who says she could resolve this problem with the NCAA if those women lawyers would "meet with her" for about 5 minutes.

And BIG BLUE seems to be ready. Sure hope they remain focused. Heard on the way back down here today that Tubby got Coach-of-the-Year in the SEC. But...UL whooped them! [Wink]

Kept looking for Elk from Richmond to Jelico, but only saw a few squashed Coyotes. Seems like a whole lot of Coyotes getting smashed along the Interstate - everywhere up there.

Have you had any luck on them? Remind me about where you are too.

I am in Somerset, about one hour south of Richmond, and about an hour and a half south of Lexington. I haven't been up around LaGrange in a few years, I made a deposit up there at the State Penetentiary (sp?) and they acted reluctant to let me back out, so I haven't gone back. There are plenty coyotes and skunks to go around. I see the occasional groundhog. You will be in find shape for deer hunting up there, all the counties in that area are zone 1 to the best of my knowledge. Glad to have you back home.

Hey,

I am in the Western Part of the state. (LBL)

Lots of opportunities here. I also went to WKU.

Good for coyote, turkey, deer, duck etc.

Give me a line if you are coming to the west.

I have been going down to the range down at Laurel Lake lately also. I used to be a member at BGSL and am thinking of trying to get back. It's a nice place. I heard they are at their membership cap tho.

Welcome Ruger #1

i live and work in Richmond, just started coyote hunting after watching them run unabated in my subdivision for a few years. Just got my first one (alpha male that was harrassing wife/dog). First time out he came in within 20 seconds of calling from my blind side, hit him at 35 yards with .22 hornet. What an adrenaline pumping experience!

I am memebr of Estill County Club in Irvin. I am always interested in meeting new associates.
