No one ever talks about Howas it seems here..

Well just checked out what is new on their web site.. here's an interesting prospect from a firearms company... even tho Legacy Sports is technically just a distributor...

this is a Model made for the Ranchers, but is focused on being a good versatile varminter, and available with the right stock and in all the right calibers to fit everyone's tastes...

http://www.legacysports.com/products/howa/howa_ranchland.html

in calibers from 223, to 308 and including the 7/08....

three cheers to Howa on this!

A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him "Why do you carry a 45?" The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46."

Looks great. Wonder what the twist is on the 223? Although it is a tackdriver, I am looking for something lighter than my AR with the RRA 20" varmint barrel.

Have a REAL good look at the Stevens models. Same philosophy behind these Howa rifles and worth every dollar in value.

Now the action and about 1 1/2 inches of the barrel is glass bedded, the rest of the barrel is free floated , and trigger pull is adjusted down to about 2.75 Lb on my Howa varmint thumbhole 223 Rem rifle. One half inch five shot 100 Yd groups are common. This rifle has ben one of my better buys.
