I took the plunge on a RRA yesterday. I've never even seen one but they've been getting excellent reviews so I'll hopefully be pleased. This will be my 2/4 legged varmint rig. It's the A4 with a quad-rail handguard, weaver-style gas block and 16" SS Wilson 1/8 barrel. They said it'd be ~5 weeks for delivery - I can't wait!!

I'm planning on topping it with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm along with fold down iron sights for back up. Should be a mean combo! I'll post some pics when it comes in and give a range report ASAP.

Nebraska,

If yours shoots anything like my RRA upper, you will be
happy. I have a 20" RRA Varminter(flattop), with a
Wilson Air Gauged SS heavy barrel, with the Wlyde Chamber.
It prints itty bitty groups on paper, and crows,
groundhogs, and coyotes fear it. I have mine on a
Armalite National Match lower, but I hear that the RRA
lowers are very good quality lowers, too. I think I might
buy a RRA lower, to go with a pre-ban 16" carbine RRA
upper that I swap out with 20" heavy barrel upper, when I
lay winter coyote ambushes.

Look out for those black rifles...They are addicting!

It will be a DOG....you'll hate it! But I'm a good guy and will buy it from you for $475 sight unseen! You'll not even have to worry about wasting your time and effort test firing it!

I haven't visited this site for awhile, so I thought I would pop in and see what you fellow Nebraska jug blowers were up to. Still here I see!

Nebraska would a 3.5x10 Vari XIII matte/duplex fit on that thing?

for the right price I might even deliver it to you.

If interested I got it listed on Groovebullets.com classifieds or drop me an email.

hi roger

Stevo - That's a bargain but my gun fund is really starting to suck wind after picking up a SS Rem 700 w/ McMillan(300WM) and that RRA AR-15. I'm afraid that I'm going to be a lowly VX-II owner for awhile...

I feel your pain. The reason I'm selling it is to come up w/coin for a S&B 3x12 Zenith i just bought. Wife really freaked.

I'm glad I found you guys still around. Got to stop in more often.
