Went target shooting with some other varmint shooters last night. One of the guys showed up with a new savage stainless fluted laminated heavy barreled 204. What a shooter! Loved the accutrigger!

Roger, I took my third 204, A 26 inch barreled encoreout on our yearly p-dog shoot a few weeks ago. One word pretty well sumed it up..WOW! None of mine are savages but this caliber is with out a doubt a total blast to shoot. I will be headed out this weeked with all three 204's for a little more R&R. My favorite load so far is 23gr IMR4198 behind a sierra 32gr blitzking...fantastic!

I believe in life, liberty, and pursuit of the S.O.B.'s that threaten them.

Guys: I have said it before and I will say it again this new 204 Ruger cartridge is one of THE top three all around Varmint cartridges of ever devised!
Its that simple!
Extreme accuracy, no recoil, no excessive barrel heating, cheap brass, easy to find accurate loadings for, apparently its easy on brass and for flatness of trajectory and wind bucking ability it is about unbeatable to out past 400 yards!
Long live the wonderful 204 Ruger cartridge!
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
P.S.: Thanks again to the Hornady folks and the folks at Ruger Arms! Good job!
