after a whole one experiment, i have proven that a 270 grn bullet, from a 9.3x62, at (about) 2450fps, will, beyond a shadow of a doubt, kill a coyote standing at a distance of(about)35 feet. i hope to have pictures soon. just thought i would let ya'll know ...bud

I did a similiar experiment last year. My conclusion was that a 180 grain Hornady interlock from my 300WSM, at a muzzle velocity of 3075 will result in a one shot kill on coyotes at 40 yards.

I don't know if this counts, but what about a Woodchuck at 50 feet with a 75 grainer out of a 25-06 at 3600? Smaller target, lighter bullet. Results should be just about the same. Found front and rear quarters. Everything between them was GONE. The proverbial red mist.

Great job. That it looks like you hit it with a cannon.
