Just at daylight the streets along the foot hills of Glendale and Burbank are full of Coyotes running all over the place after the choice garbage. This is no joke but I know it isn't what you want to hear. Some clubs do their calling around the Tahatchapees on the other side of Mojave. If you send me your E-mail Add. I'll try to put you in touch with an avid coyote guy. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Head north on I-5 over the Grapevine until you get to Highway 166 west to Maricopa. Go through the Stop sign in Maricopa and about 2 miles west of town take a right on Soda Lake Rd. Look at the maps of that area there is a lot of public land there. Here's a link to the area, there are a lot of coyotes and a few pigs there. http://www.ca.blm.gov/bakersfield/carrizoplain.html Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. If you follow Fjold's directions you'll be in my area. It gets hunted quite a bit though. From where your at it might be better to go out the 14 toward the desert. I would have to get a BLM map to find out where the boundaries are but theres probably a larger area that doesn't get hunted than the Carrizo plain area. I live close by there and rarely head that direction. In fact I've taken more 'Yotes out in the desert past Tehachapi and North of hwy 58 but there's lots of private ground so be careful or get permission. Nate | |||
